Revenant of Reverence
REL'IQUARY, noun [Latin relinquo.]
"A depository for relics; a casket in which relics are kept."
The Vision
an Ancient perspective, now with modern hands
(and resources)
Restoring the lost reverence once had for fine gemstones, but with modern resources. Mcnelly Reliquary is the idea of a reliquary brought into the digital age. A place of sacred and significant objects, with a value and meaning only truly known to those who brought it to be.

Mass extraction of the Earth's rocks and minerals at an industrial scale, has created a manipulated demand to no longer value the soul and story of gemstone. Many stones are wasted or ignored in the pursuit of "flawless" perfection.

Resurrecting the idea that gemstones are sacred, works of art in their own right, which values the energy and soul is perspective I want to make mainstream, again.

Exploitation has always existed when it comes to gemstones, whether it is the earth or those pulling the jewels we love from it. In this day and age, I feel we have the choice to make this space as ethical, sustainable and authentic as possible.
Gemstones and their industries play an important economic and cultural role around the world. Here in the West, there is very little understanding about how complex the supply chain is, and how much insane profits are being taken away from their source. We are in the era where we can remove unnecessary profit gauging atmosphere around gemstones and jewelry, and make use of the abundance of readily available material for a more sustainable, meaningful, and accessible future.

Dont worry, headshot is coming soon!
a bit about me,
Hello there!
My name is Dylan, I am 24 year old currently living in Missouri, USA and McNelly Reliquary is the result of my passions in life combining into one small space (with some pretty big dreams!)
I never thought I'd be able to find a career space which brings me so much passion and purpose, but I've decided to just live life, and follow what I love. I am currently learning to cut and facet stones, create bespoke jewelry in order to bring you fine stones in every color, price, species and vibe. Right now I am doing all of this completely by myself (NO AI ASSITSANCE!) with very little guidance, and while it has been a pain, it is so rewarding to create something I am proud of.
As things expand and I acquire more confidence in this new space, expect much more insight into the behind the scenes of my, at times, crazy gem journey.

Gemstone and jewelry collection has been a hobby of mine for some now, and it was a sour experience at the local mall jewelry outlet which has lead me down this path I am are on today.

We are just part of the stone's story, not the other way around.

Currently I am not a certified gemologist myself (although the stones you see here have been checked by one!) I am committed to one day earning that title just to prove that money buys status, not just credibility. As I've spent countless hours examining, experimenting and learning from gemstones of all types and treatments, whilst connecting with and meeting gem friends around the world, I have noticed experience and passion is what truly drives credibility. Not a certification.
Ultimately I just want to create a space to connect anyone who asks, with a special stone, statement piece, or sacred object which would be fit for a reliquary of their own.
Whether is one hundred dollars or a million, I think we all deserve a chance to connect with the Earth and creativity through the wonders of natural gemstones.

Because if done right, these stones will continue to outlive us all till the end of time.
